Underwood Aire Products is the brainchild of Doug Underwood of Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Born into a multi-office family-owned manufacturers representative, wholesale distribution, and manufacturing organization, his exposure to these products started at a rather young age. When building fans, blowers, roof curbs, and VAV terminal units in an air-conditioned shop was presented as an alternative to mowing grass under the hot Georgia sun, it was not a difficult decision. Later after graduating from The Georgia Institute of Technology in the late 1980’s Doug joined full time the family business which at its peak was to include seven offices spread across five states of the Southern US and spanning four generations of Underwoods.
Economic unpleasantness late in the 21st century’s opening decade led to a sale and shortly thereafter a relocation. Sticking around just long enough to see the company off and in good hands, a new adventure unfolded working in sales management for multiple suppliers. Later during this time, complimentary products lines from vendor relationships both old and new were added and ultimately developed into the offering you find here. The customer focus is primarily manufacturers representatives and distributors serving the US mechanical market, whether serving to fill an opening in a product line card, offering a better delivery, or locating that hard-to-find solution.
